According to the National Survey of Victimization and Perception of Public Security 2023 (ENVIPE) of the INEGI, Coahuila is the third state with the lowest percentage of perception of insecurity in the country and the safest in northern Mexico.

In Torreon, 64.27% of citizens feel safe according to the National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU) reported by the INEGI, in the second quarter of 2023. On the other hand, the ZML registers a feeling of security of 57.96% and at the national level of 38.39%.

La Laguna occupies 3rd place among the 73 metropolitan areas in the IMCO 2022 Competitiveness Index in relation to the Reliable and Objective Law System.
